Abstract: A novel resin has been synthesized through the polymerization of p-vinylcalix[4]arene followed by introduction of carboxyl groups at lower rim and adsorptive behavior of some divalent metal ions on the resin has been studied. Absolute separation of trace amount of lead from large excess of zinc has been achieved using the column packed with the resin.
